Job description:

We are looking for a high potential, entrepreneurial marketing graduate who would like to learn and grow quickly.
Reporting to a Team Leader, the successful Trainee will be required to support the Leader in the following activities:
•    Identify and quantify marketing opportunities in categories in which we operate
•    Help to develop fantastic marketing mixes to maximise these opportunities
•    Be responsible for implementing and executing the marketing mix to store level
•    Monitor and assess the commercial success of the mix in the market place
•    Look for gaps to exploit and grow

Advantageous:
No work experience is necessary, but up to two years marketing experience will be considered
. High attention to detail and accuracy.

We are looking for a business graduate, who would play the intermediary role between supply chain and marketing to coordinate both the launch of innovation and the running down of end of life products.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidates’ responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • The management and coordination of a new product Innovation launch between Marketing and Supply Chain
  • The management and coordination of an end of life product from rundown to write off between Marketing and Supply Chain
  • The project management of write-off costs associated with end of life products
  • Management of an online tool used to help coordinate innovation and rundowns
  • Analysing data and working with the marketing team to maintaining instore availability
  • Daily interaction with internal customers including marketing, supply chain, demand planning, finance and production

Educational pre-requisites:

  • Degree (specialisation in supply chain an advantage)
  • At least a C Higher Grade Matric Maths
  • Advanced computer and Excel skills
  • Previous business experience in a similar role would be advantageous
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken word)

We are looking for a candidate with 3- 5 years previous buying experience that has the ability to effectively manage multiple projects with different deadlines, has a strong attention to detail and is able to cope with the pressure of tight deadlines and targets.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidates’ skills and responsibilities will include:

  • Weekly order placements & expediting of these POs
  • Tracking of stock levels by supplier
  • Weekly call off lists sent to suppliers with daily checking against receiving from warehouse
  • Demand forecasts to all packaging suppliers
  • Management of non-conformance packaging with suppliers
  • Placing, management and coordinating of Import orders
  • Preparations for annual price increases and updating of SKU costings
  • Co-ordinating collection of packaging samples for internal customers
  • Monthly Cash Flow Forecasts relating to packaging on hand and on order
  • Management of the Supplier Scorecard
  • Monthly reporting on packaging stock levels vs target

Educational Pre-Requisites:

  • At least a C in Matric Maths
  • Diploma or equivalent professional experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken word)
  • ERP systems experience especially Syspro an advantage
